Testimonials – Musicians

"I was watching Little Einsteins on Disney Jr. yesterday with my kids. They always highlight a classical piece in every episode. Yesterday they had Farandole on the episode. Liam, my 4 year old, screamed, "that's Mommy's music" and insisted I get my cello out and play along. I did, and he danced and sang along while I played with the show. He is already showing such a talent for music. I just want to say thanks for letting me be a part of such a wonderful group. I had foolishly thought after high school that I would never need or want to pick up my cello again. I can now see how wrong I was. Not only am I discovering my talent and love for music again, I am also passing it along to my kids. Seeing their eyes light up when I practice makes me realize just how important it really is." - Amy Ashford (Cello)

"Music has always been a huge part of my life, listening, building instruments playing with small groups whenever possible, Barbershop chorus, Solo work in the various churches I have attended, traveling and singing with a Gospel Quartet etc, but none of these activities have motivated me to improve my somewhat meager training on an instrument as much as being a part of WCSO, and trying to raise my personal standards as a musician to be worthy of that membership. " - Ned (String Bass)

"I am so happy to be a member of Williamson County Symphony Orchestra. We all come together for the same reason, because we all understand the power and beauty of music. I get asked quite often who im playing with now days. it makes me proud to say i am a member of the williamson county symphony orchestra! It always amazes with the response I get ... "wow, i didnt know you were that good." I then explain that if you set goals you can achieve them with dedication, determination, and motivation. It is a huge honor and priviledge to be apart of such an amazing organization." - Jason Kraft (String Bass)
